Bender Presents will not offer any refund, in whole or in part, for any circumstance that would prohibit the attendee from attending. This includes (but is not limited to) medical emergency, unemployment, death, weather events, transportation interruption, general strike, pandemic, or civil unrest.

The Big Blues Bender is a special event. It only exists for a handful of days, once a year. In order for the Bender to survive and thrive year after year, we must ensure that the packages we sell allow us to cover our budget and produce the event you have come to know and love. If circumstances in your life prevent you from attending the Bender, please understand that the event must and will go on even without you. We can not forfeit the revenue from your package, nor can we transfer it to a different year. To do so would undermine the financial stability of our company and jeopardize the long term health of the Bender.  

The only protection against uncertainty is Insurance.

HOW DO I ADD TRAVEL INSURANCE TO MY RESERVATION?

You may add travel insurance at time of check out, or add it to your existing reservation. this video will walk you through the steps:

  1. Importance of Travel Insurance:

    • Travel insurance provides coverage for unexpected disruptions or emergencies that could prevent you from attending the event. Since Bender does not offer refunds, travel insurance can help protect your investment.
    • The Bender offers a convenient interface to purchase insurance from their partner, Travel Guard, but you can choose any insurance provider. The policy you purchase is directly through Travel Guard, and Bender does not provide guidance on policy details.
  2. Adding Travel Insurance:

    • To add insurance to an existing reservation, log into your Bender account, locate your reservation, and select "Add Insurance."
    • Fill in key details, including your departure date (day you leave home), return date (day you return home), trip deposit date (first payment for the event), and final payment date (last payment for the trip).
  3. Insurance Options by State:

    • Insurance quotes are based on state residency, and policies are only available for U.S. residents. If travelers in a reservation have different state addresses, policies must be added separately for each person.
  4. Selecting and Purchasing a Plan:

    • After selecting the insurance plan, review the “Description of Coverage” to understand available options. For additional protection, consider adding coverage options like “Cancel for Any Reason” or activity-based add-ons.
    • Complete the purchase, and Travel Guard will email you a policy confirmation.
  5. Updating Travel Information:

    • After purchasing, log into your Travel Guard account to update travel details, such as departure/return dates, flight information, and any planned activities, to ensure full coverage.

Travel insurance helps safeguard your Bender experience against unforeseen events, ensuring peace of mind even with unexpected travel interruptions.

We have partnered with Travel Guard to offer our guests an opportunity to purchase travel insurance via our online booking portal. Travel insurance may be purchased at the time of booking, or up to 24 hours before departure. 

We are not insurance agents or brokers. If you elect to purchase travel guard via our booking portal, your transaction is wholly between you and Travel Guard. Team Bender can not assist, edit, modify, or access your travel insurance policy in any way.
